Friendship.....Companionship....

What is a friend? Websters Dictionary, defines a friend as one attached to another by affection or esteem, one that is not hostile or a favored companion. When I was in high school, my parents always used to say "all these people you call your friends now, will not be your friends after you graduate." Boy were they right! I have 2 friends from high school, 1 male and 1 female. The rest of my friends are from elementary school and the neighborhood I grew up in; Danielle, Michael, Devon, Melissa, and Brittany (we've known each other our whole lives, like seriously). And then there is Lexi (Alex), Mary, and Whitney whom I have just met a couple years ago and I feel like I have known them forever. Of course we have all had our spats over the years, but that's what real friends do. We don't lie to one another to save feelings especially when it is something serious. Truth be told, my friends are more like family to me than my actual family. Then there is Steven, my fiancé *dreamy eyes*...... He is truly my best friend. We hold back nothing from one another and I have always felt I could be myself around him and vice versa. He is the person that has given me a new outlook on friendship and companionship. Honestly I think he is the first guy that I have dated that all my friends like!!! I know its because this is the happiest I have been in a VERY long time. Really I just want to thank everybody for being my friend and standing by me through the really thick and thin moments in my life and for that one special little thing that you do. You all mean so much to me! Love you guys!

Browsing On the Bloomingdales Site.....

While browsing on the Bloomingdale's site this morning, I came across some great finds (in my opinion). It's been a long time since I have seen some really cute plus size dresses. I was so excited about these finds, that it really made me come to a decision as to what I want to sell in my boutique. I couldn't decide whether or not to focus on having a blue jean boutique, a intimates boutique, or a plus size clothing store. Somehow I would love to incorporate all 3. I have such a passion for jeans, but then again I have interests in women's plus size clothing and lingerie as well. I want a lingerie store because, I understand the difficulties in being able to find bras and even matching bra and pantie sets. I have such a soft spot for people that have trouble finding bras that fit properly, comfortably and look pretty as well. As a teenager and young adult, it was quite a struggle for me to find bras that fit. It seemed as if every other month my mother was taking me to get fitted!!!! Before my breast reduction, I wore a size 36JJ and I was only 18 years old. I would love to be able to help people who are going through the same things that I went through. Let's Talk Maxi's!

It sweeps the floor, it's comfortable, and great fitting.....What could it be????? If you guessed a Maxi dress, you would be correct! Maxi dresses are my favorite go to for the summer. Maxi's are so versatile, the same dress can be worn for running errands during the day and glammed up for night life or a dinner date. These dresses come in many different patterns and materials, such as cotton, jersey, and silk. My personal favorite is jersey material. These dresses vary in price depending on material and detail. They can range in price, I have seen them for as low as $19.99 to as high as $500.00!!! All depends on your budget....Tip: I've seen tons of them at Tj Maxx and Marshalls.

While working at Nordstrom, I learned that a proper fitting bra, panties, and shapewear is key to making your clothes fit great! Every woman is guilty of saying this infamous line "I know what size bra I wear already". Trust me you don't!!!
